2015

Commissioning Project: Speaking Percussionist
I commissioned four new works for speaking percussionist:
Danny Clay: Glossolalia and Dream Journals
Christopher Deane: The Ballad of Timothy Brian Cole
Peter Garland: TBA
Graeme Leak: Say Something
I will give the premieres of several of these works on my solo recital at Sam Houston State University in February.

Recording Project - The Landscape Scrolls by Peter Garland
In May I completed my first solo recording: The Landscape Scrolls by Peter Garland. The Landscape Scrolls is a concert-length solo percussion work that I commissioned back in 2011. Peter was with me in the studio for the session. We're currently editing and mastering. I'm hopeful for a Fall 2016 release!

MAY
Performance with the new music ensemble Bent Frequency at the Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, GA. The program featuring my collaborative work with Allen Otte, "The Innocents," as well as the seminal works by Frederic Rzewski, "Attica" and "Coming Together." The event helped to raise awareness about The Georgia Innocence Project, and the larger issue of wrongful imprisonment and exoneration through DNA evidence.
